As an Owner Operators and Lease Purchasers, it can take time to adjust to a new company that you begin driving for.
There are new policies and procedures that you must learn, new rules and regulations you must remember. It can be a bit daunting trying to process it all as you get to work doing what you do – hauling freight.
Here at Paramount Freight Systems, one of the premiere up-and-coming transportation companies in North America, we’re always happy to welcome new Owner Operators and Lease Purchasers into the fold. We know what it’s like to start driving for a new company. That’s why we’ve designed our orientation process with the new Owner Operators and Lease Purchasers in mind.
Get To Know Your Fleet Manager
All of our new Owner Operators and Lease Purchasers have lunch with their new fleet manager. This is a great opportunity for them to get to know each other on a personal level. This helps them understand one another better as they begin working together. For more tips on establishing a good working relationship between truck driver and fleet manager, check out our recent blog post.
A Buddy or Mentor to Help You Adjust
Each of our new drivers is also assigned to one of our current owner-operators as a mentor or buddy. This buddy can help the new driver with the paperwork process and help him or her understand all the ins and outs of or the job and everything involved with our company. This way the new driver never has to feel alone and always has someone he or she can go to with questions.
We think our orientation process gives new drivers plenty of face-to-face time with those in our company. It helps them to realize that they are more than just a number here.
Paramount Freight Systems is constantly recruiting new Owner Operators and Lease Purchasers to partner with us as we continue to grow our company. With the addition of new transportation routes throughout the country, the need is ongoing for new drivers.
With a new generation of young truck drivers looking for more home time with their families, we have dedicated line haul lanes that allow them to get the miles they want and get them home each night, too. We also offer discounts on fuel, tires and parts, discounted truck and health insurance, a sign-on bonus, and a lease purchase program for trucks.
Are you a truck driver looking to join an all Owner Operators and Lease Purchasers fleet? Consider Paramount Freight Systems, a three-time winner and five-time nominee of the Best Fleet to Drive for Award. We care about our drivers. If you’re ready to take charge of your career, contact us today!
