Route 12 – Utah

The notorious red rocks on the West Coast are showcased spectacularly along this 124 mile stretch. Enjoy the view and make sure to check out Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon national parks that surround this area.

Ocean Drive – Newport, RI

Visit the spectacular scenery that comes along this 10 mile costal route. Ocean Drive is known for its historic mansions and nautical views. This is a perfect, peaceful route to hop on and clear your mind or simply enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

Highway 143 – TN

Take a trip to visit Tennessee and enjoy the world’s longest uninterrupted grassy heaths accompanied by purple rhododendron blossoms. The best time to take this drive is early in the summer. But any season would be appropriate to drive down Highway 143. From the seasonal leaves, snow, blooming flowers and vibrant green grass, this scenic route will not disappoint.

Great River Road – Mississippi

Known to be the best scenic drive in America, the Great River Road follows the course of the Mississippi River for 3,000 miles passing through 10 states. This road has many points to enter and exit so go and enjoy the beautiful view.

Going to the Sun Road –  Montana

Best Highways to Travel

Going-to-the-Sun Road is the only road that crosses Glacier National Park in Montana. Without stopping, the trip is usually around two hours. However, you should definitely watch out for the narrow, windy roads in your truck. This might be one to save for a family vacation.

Trail Ridge Road – Colorado

This road is one of the most spectacular drives in the United States. At the highest point, the road reaches 12,183 feet making for a glorious view. The picturesque mountains are definitely worth admiring along the way.

Bluebonnet Trail – Texas

If you’re anywhere close in the spring time, check out the state’s native flowers flourishing along the Bluebonnet Trail in the Lone Star State. The overwhelming fields of green grass and beautiful blue flowers make for the perfect leisurely drive.
